This summer in 2005, two teams of teenagers flew from the United States to visit the kids of the village. To everyone of them, it was a life changing experience. Here are some of the sharing from two of the team members...
“…I was so blessed by the children at LSV. Before I went to LSV, I thought I would feel sorry for the kids because they are orphans and most of them are physically disabled in some way. But my eyes were opened to see the potential and gifts in these children. After the first day there, I really didn't notice their physical handicaps anymore. They were truly princes and princesses of the King. These children were gifted artists, musicians, athletes and I could see the call of God on their lives..."
“… I learned that there is no failure. I've always been scared to fail and make mistakes, but through the kids, I could see that there is always a means, a way to get by, to keep going... They (the LSV kids) manage. They get creative. They could do almost anything. We played ping pong; they played in wheelchairs and clutches. They played basketball with one leg, with one hand. They did craft and learned new instruments. The deaf and mute communicated not with words but with art. It was inspirational!..."
